BEFORE Using a laser, the doctor will create a small pocket in the first few layers of your cornea. You may feel slight pressure on your eye during this part of the procedure. The doctor will then insert the KAMRA inlay into the pocket and center it over your pupil. You will not be able to drive following the procedure so make arrangements beforehand for a ride home. WHAT TO EXPECT IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURE Most patients resume normal activities within 24 to 48 hours. You should avoid using reading glasses and keep all follow-up appointments with the doctor. Be sure to take all prescribed medications, including artificial tears to avoid developing dry eye. The KAMRA Inlay can be safely removed if necessary. AFTER “I’ve got to admit it has affected every aspect of my life... I feel more engaged, I feel more alive after this procedure.” - Rick S, Corneal Inlay Patient 43
