Frantz EyeCare Endorses Alcon’s Cataract Consumer Campaign
Alcon has partnered with AARP to educate consumers nationwide about cataracts and cataract surgery. The objective of this consumer engagement campaign is to educate cataract patients about the opportunity to reduce dependence on glasses and advanced technology options so they can have informed discussions with their surgeon.
Alcon partnered with AARP to survey 1,000 adults, aged 50+, in order to:
• Explore attitudes around vision health, and
• Measure awareness and understanding of cataracts and lens treatment options.
Highlights from the study are published in the August/September issue of AARP Magazine and online at AARP.org. The consumer-friendly infographic explains the results and can be viewed on CataractSurgery.com. Dr. Jonathan Frantz and Frantz EyeCare are included in the surgeon locator section of this Alcon-branded site, which also includes downloadable educational content and testimonial videos. Dr. Frantz is also included in the non-branded site MyEyes.com, which has a wealth of information about all types of eye diseases, with a specific section devoted to cataracts.
